Iman has chaired and featured on a number of panels for events organised by Channel 4, the BBC, Chatham House, Cheltenham Literature Festival, Bradford Literature Festival, Tedx Glasgow and a number of other media organisations as well as with brands and at cultural events and festivals.
She most frequently speaks at events about masculinity, diversity, race, culture, religion, sport and music. She was also a judge for the One World Media Awards in 2023.
She hosted a whole Guardian Live series for which she interviewed a range of people from activist Gina Martin to Chicken Shop Date’s Amelia Dimoldenberg. In lockdown she brought the series to people’s screens, interviewing George The Poet, musician, Joy Crookes, rapper and TV personality Big Zuu and author, Yrsa Daley-Ward.
